Peplum

Top-notch designers including redefined this classic 1940s trend as one of fall’s hottest and most wearable. The peplum skirt gives a gorgeous silhouette by slimming the waistline and emphasizing the hips.

Brights and Bolds

Skip the traditional dark winter colors this season. Brights and bolds appeared in several collections from DKNY to Victoria Beckham. Red pants are this season’s must haves.

Tuxedo Inspired

Traditional menswear looks crossed over into one of fall’s trends for women. Designers paired blazers with looks like floppy bowties, lace and sheer tops for an ultra girly look.

Shorts & Tights
Although this look was not featured at Fashion Week, celebrities such as Beyonce and Katie Holmes have been spotted sporting this trend that channels the grunge era. Whether paired with a pair of wool, tweed or denim shorts, dark tights will create an illusion of longer legs.

Stripes

Stripes didn’t grace the runways this season but this reoccurring trend is here to stay. If you are smaller, wear horizontal stripes to give off a longer torso.  If you are fuller figured, wear vertical stripes.  Pair bright stripes with neutral-colored jeans for a perfect ensemble.

Purple Explosion

Models graced the runway in purple dresses galore. They matched purple blouses with jeans, black skirts, and simple heels to emphasize the popular trend.
